Sandy Deren

Enjoying friendly competition in tournaments, box leagues, and interclub play has made squash a lifelong passion for Sandy. She is enthralled with the game's athletic nature, its skill and technical nature.
Since becoming a NCCP Level 1 Coach, Sandy is excited about the opportunity to help with others' squash development.

Gene Marshall

An avid member of both the MRU and Alberta squash communities, Gene was the 2019 MRU Club Champion, and an Alberta top-50 ranked player. NCCP Certified in gymnastics, trampoline and squash, he has been coaching squash for six years.
Gene brings a passion for development, winning and fun to MRU Squash.

Nik Rasula

A life-long athlete (baseball, fastball, football, hockey), this 25-year community volunteer, organizer and ice-rink builder is also a regional soccer referee.
A trained NCCP Provincial Coach (formerly Level III) and SquashSkills acolyte, Nik is a squash progressive, continuously upgrading proficiencies on technique, tactics and conditioning. He brings perspective, a growth mindset and a varied athletic bent to MRU Squash. Oh… and a bit of attitude.
